Holy Father’s Visit to Bayelsa State

It was celebration and blessing galore when the Holy Father, Leader O.O.Obu visited Bayelsa State of Nigeria on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd November 2014.

Hundreds of brethren who turn out to receive the Holy Father were overwhelmed by joy, peace and happiness as the Holy Spirit poured good wishes on the entire world.

The first day of the visit witnessed the inauguration of three bethels at Polaku, Kaiama and Opolo. The dedication of these Bethels was performed by the Holy Father in the Holy Queen Mother, Queen I.O.Obu assisted by the acting Chairman, BCS Executive Council, His Holiness Obu. O. Obu. Present at the epoch making event were all the members of the BCS executive Council. They are Bishop Asuquo Ekanem, Bishop Okpala William, Bishop Matthew Ejedawe, Bishop Alex Igwe, Bishop Christopher Oshomogie and Bishop Joseph Salubi.

The second day event on Saturday 22nd Nov. 2014 started with a divine service conducted by the Holy Father through His Holiness Obu O. Obu. In the sermon the Holy Father admonished all to put into practice the teaching of the Holy Spirit, Leader O.O.Obu which is the key to life everlasting. Children, choristers and others thrilled the audience with brilliant and spectacular songs and drama performance.

Funds were also raised to appreciate the Holy Father’s visit at the end of the occasion the Secretary General and Head of Administration announced that Akwa Ibom State will host the 2015 Holy Mother’s visit.

Eighteen (18) States in Nigeria and seven (7) Counties participate in activities that make the Holy Father’s Visit to Bayelsa State.
