A Kingdom rooted in righteousness and oneness.

Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is the New Kingdom of God on Earth — the New Heaven and New Earth wherein righteousness dwells.

In the teachings of BCS, this Kingdom signifies more than a change in the physical world. It represents a divine order of life and government in which all things work according to God’s will.

Through the Holy Father, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, mankind is called to know the truth, practise the word of God and live in love, faith, hope and unity with all creation.

The New Heaven
and New Earth

The New Heaven and New Earth do not mean a new sky, new colours or a physical earth with different environmental features. They signify the Kingdom of God wherein dwells righteousness — a new system of government and way of life ordered by His divine direction.

BCS teaching connects this promise to the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar recorded in Daniel 2. The king was troubled by a dream that his seers and magicians could not interpret. Daniel sought divine understanding through prayer and then explained the dream to the king.

The interpretation described kingdoms that would rise and pass away, followed by a Kingdom established by God — a Kingdom whose power would endure and whose reign would have no end.

Scriptural referenceDaniel 2

The dream of successive kingdoms and the everlasting Kingdom of God.

The meaning of Brotherhood, Cross and Star

Three profound expressions of God’s oneness, the life of Christ and the glory of His reign.

01

Brotherhood

Brotherhood means oneness. It embraces God, Christ, the angels, humankind and the whole of creation — the heavens, waters, forests, animals and all things made by God.

All creation, united in its Creator, is Brotherhood.

02

Cross

The Cross means bearing the burdens of others without complaint, enduring trials in patience, and responding to wrong with Christlike tolerance and forgiveness.

It includes remaining steadfast in Christ when falsely accused, insulted or mistreated, without answering wrong with retaliation.

03

Star

The Star signifies the brightness of God, the peace of the Almighty and the power of Christ’s everlasting reign.

In BCS teaching, it points to the divine rule of Christ and those who reign with Him.

Together, Brotherhood, Cross and Star express the calling to live in oneness, carry the Cross and walk in the light of God’s Kingdom.

The Mission of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu

As set out in the teachings of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, the mission of the Holy Father is fourfold:

  1. 01

To establish the Kingdom of God here on Earth.

  2. 02

To teach and lead mankind to the accurate knowledge of truth.

  3. 03

To transform mankind to the standard required by God.

  4. 04

To judge and reward every person according to their works.

Faith is taught through practice, not theory alone.

The Holy Father’s teaching emphasises the practice of God’s word in daily life. Faith is to be made evident through righteousness, compassion, discipline and works consistent with the divine teachings.

My Mission

“The need to teach mankind the word of God makes my assignment very daunting. It becomes more so as my teaching is predicated on practice and not theory.”

In this teaching, the way to the Kingdom is not reduced to a verbal declaration of faith or the payment of religious dues; believers are called to transform their conduct and live by the word they have received.

BCS teaches that there is one Leader and Teacher in the fold: the Holy Spirit, the Triune God, personified in Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, the Sole Spiritual Head. In this understanding, the Brotherhood seeks unity in its teachings and observances, following the Holy Father’s instructions rather than independent practices.

The BCS Handbook brings together the Holy Father’s instructions and directives to guide brethren toward unity of understanding and practice.
