SILENT PRAYER' TO BE READ ALOUD BY THE CONDUCTOR Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of human race. Look down upon us, humbly prostrate before Tt1ine Altar. We are Thine and Thine we wish to be but to be more surely united with Thee. Behold each one of us freely conse- crates himself to Thy l\~ost Sacred Heart. Many indeed have never know Thee. Many too despising Thy precepts have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all most merci- ful Jesus and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart. Be Thou King 0 Lord not only of the faithfull who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal Ghildren who have abandoned Thee. Grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house lest they die of wretched- ness and hunger. Be Thou King of all- those who are de- cieved by erroneous opinions or who discard keeps aloof and call them back to the harbour of truth and unit\' of faith· so that soon they may be one flock and one shepherd. Be Thou King of all those who are still involved in darkness of idolatry and I slam ism. And refuse not to draw tt1em back to the light and Kingdom of God. Turn Thy eyes of mercy towards· the children of that race • once Thy chosen people. Of old they called down upon themselves the blood of the Saviour. May it now descend upon them a lover of redemption and of life. Grant 0 Lord to Thine Church, assurance of freedom, immunity from harm. Give peace from pole to pole with one cry: Praise I to the Divine Heart that wrought our Sal'Jation To it be glory and honour for ever and ever, Amen.
