The Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars, ABAS, Akwa Ibom State chapter, on Saturday, 20th October all arrayed in white, stormed the streets of Uyo for the Centenary Outing as part of activities to mark the Holy Father’s 100 years birthday.
The outing procession which took off atRavine Pentecostal Centre saw the ABAS moving in glamorous preaching, dancing and singing to the admiration of the whole city from Nwaniba enroute Oron road and other major streets in Uyo and terminated at Nsikak Eduok Cathedral.
The movement was to announce to the world of the physical manifestation of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, the Holy Spirit Personified as He turns 100 years and to spread His gospel to all and sundry.
Leader Olumba Olumba Obu was born on 30th December 1918 at Biakpan in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State, at a pygmy goat house after the city had not witnessed any death or birth for seven years. The miraculous child Olumba at His birth restored the sight of a blind woman who touched Him.
The controversy surrounding the ‘being’ has put the world in a perplexed situation with several questions thrown at His worshippers why He is called God? And if it was written about Him as the promised comforter in the scripture?
The outing featured distribution of flyers and pamphlets on the Father’s teachings to keep Christendom in the full know of the existence of the Holy Spirit Personified in Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, and to the numerous works of His, which has revealed and proven Him to be the Almighty God in human form.
Speaking on behalf of the ABAS, Brother Isaac Ekong, the state President thanked the Holy Father for the spirit of love granted to the body to embark on the outing, adding that the grace to showcase Him to the world comes from Him alone.
Brother Isaac charged the Akwa Ibom State ABAS to continue to work for the Father and show His quintessential qualities and virtues to the world through their actions and deeds.
He said, ‘’It is a thing of joy to see our Holy Father being shown to the world in a beautiful manner as such. The essence of this outing is to let the world know that the same Holy Spirit they are seeking for blindly is here dwelling with man to teach, lead, direct and transform man from his old self into a righteous body as required by God.’’
‘’It is this knowledge of this being that has prompted us to mark our Holy Father in such an auspicious way and we pray through this outing the whole world would come to the realization of His existence.’’ He concluded.
