Members of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star on 15th March gathered in one accord to celebrate and appreciate the tenacity of 144,000 Virgin Nnamso Etuk Udoh and his doggedness towards the propagation of the Father’s gospel and stewardship in the fold.
The epoch-making event which attracted the crème’ de la crème’ in BCS was held in the magnificent Ravine Pentecostal Centre, Uyo. The long over-due celebration was heralded with melodious songs and thrilling anthems from the Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers State Central choristers who entertained members to the glory of the Father.
In attendance at the event were, Christ Witnesses, Senior Christ Servants, Christ Preachers, COG/ 144,000, Bishop Alex Igwe and his sister, Deac, Christy Okpalla William, Deac. V.B Clark, Pastor/Deac. MaCarthy Ubom (Leader’s Representative, Akwa Ibom State) and his deputy, Pastor Augustine Udosen, Apostle Sammie Effiok, Apostle Anthony Udeh (Leader’s Representative Kaduna State).
Others were HRH Apostle Odum (Leader Representative Cross Rivers state), Pastor Attah Akpan and sister (International Christ Natural Chorister’s Fellowship Chairman), Village head of Ikot Essien, PDP Woman Leader, Nsit Atai local government area, family members among others.
The event although a duo celebration of the Christ Preachers Thanksgiving service kicked off with a divine service which was conducted by the Holy Father in His Holiness Obu Olumba Obu. Reference weremade from 1st Timothy 6: 1-2, Luke 8: 2-3, Gal 6: 6. The sermon was drawn from the Holy Book of BCS, Orukutu Eyoyo page 881 with the theme, ‘’motivating the servants of God’’.
The Father in His Holiness Obu who dished out the words of life to the children of God admonished brethren on the need to place priority on the words of God, maintaining that it was part of the reason the Holy Father spent resources in printing and disseminating the everlasting gospel to the world.
The Father stressed that it was also duty bound to motivate the workers in the vineyard of God with our substance; for it is wrong on the part of the workers to abandon the work of God for their bellies. He said, ‘’as soldiers their duty post is the pulpit; urging members to everything within their capacity to keep them happy and comfortable with the material things of the earth as they were numerous blessings attached to motivating the servants of God.
Giving a brief opening speech during the second part, Chairman on the occasion, Deac. V.B Clark who was filled with glee gave a testimonial of the stewardship of the celebrant in the kingdom and how his unwavering spirit to the work of the Father has helped push the frontier of ignorance about the kingdom outside. Deac. Clark while thanking the Father for preserving COG Nnamso despite the odd days and travails in the fold described him as a rock that’s not shaken by any whirlwind.
The Akwa Ibom CNCF Chairman, Pastor Emmanuel Umoh, and Leader’s Representative, Pastor MaCarthy Ubom in their separate messages thanked the Father for the marvelous He has used the celebrant to do in the kingdom. They recounted his numerous contributions to the growth of the kingdom and how COG Nnamso has held his prestige and celibacy in high esteem to the glory of the Father, adding that his indelible marks has earn him the epoch celebration.
Also, the Chairman Planning Committee, Brother Charles Udosen while delivering a vote of thanks lauded members for their efforts in making the day a reality and the Holy Father for granting members the zeal to key into the initiative and prayed enormous blessings on the entire members who turned out to celebrate with 144,000 Nnamso.
Responding, the celebrant who could not contend the excitement hinted that his happiness knew no bound seeing the large confluence of people gather to celebrate him. COG Nnamso while giving a brief testimony on his sojourn in the celibacy path and kingdom stewardship recounted how things almost went south for him in his early days. He enumerated how tough thing were for him but that his faith and the Father’s mighty hands has always drew him back to the right path.
In a spree of appreciation, COG Nnamso appreciated the effort of his earthly mother who present at the occasion. He appreciated his village head, PDP family, family members, friends and other prominent brethren in the fold who according to him have never stopped playing both motherly and fatherly roles in his life.
He stressed that one of his scale of preference in life has been to always showcase the Holy Father in every for a he finds himself, adding that he was so proud of the Father and made sure he identified with BCS everywhere he went. He also appreciated the Father in His Holiness Obu for his support and fatherly advice which he said has helped in his climb in life. He thanked the entire BCS brethren and prayed lavish blessings on them for setting aside the day to appreciate him.
Highpoint of the event was the citation done by the Akwa Ibom Children in honour of COG Nnamso, testimonies, song rendition, choruses, cash donations, sumptuous feast, and Father’s blessings poured out to members by the Father in His Holiness Obu O. Obu.
