Three choristers drawn from the two zones in Uyo Area were on Sunday, November 10th empowered with work tools by the Area Christ Natural Chorister’s Fellowship, CNCF.

The empowerment items which include two sewing machines and a box containing mechanical tools were handed over to the beneficiaries, sisters Aniedi Sunday, Enobong Samuel and brother Ayanime Okon.

The move is part of effort by the Area to support and encourage active members who are skilled but lack working tools to perfect their craft.

Addressing brethren at Ravine Pentecostal Centre where the presentation took place, the Uyo Area Chairman, brother Nkpoikana Effiong thanked the Holy Father for the enablement granted the Area to carry out the exercise.

He disclosed that the Area deemed it fit to consolidate on the empowerment move made by the previous administration to get members skillfully employed and also employers of labour.

He stressed that the empowerment drive will be a continuous project which will be carried out annually to help alleviate the standard of living of members and help provide workable tools in their different area of specialization.

Presenting the items to the beneficiaries, Christ Witness Ime Akpakpan, Pastor David Ibom and Pastor Emmanuel Umoh prayed the Holy Father to grant the beneficiaries the grace to judiciously use the item to the glory of the Father.

They jointly advised the beneficiaries to be appreciative to the Area for finding them worthy of the gift, adding that they should show forth the glory of the Father through their trade and also count it as a blessing.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, sister Aniedi Sunday expressed delight over the items presented to them. She assured that they have received the items with gladness and will make good use of the items.

Reacting, His Holiness Obu Olumba Obu who presided over the day’s service expressed satisfaction over the move made by the Area. He added that the move was in line with the Holy Father’s teachings and practicality of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu which is aimed at brotherliness and oneness.

The Area houses Zone 1 comprise six choirs and two choirs from zone 2, Etoi.
