….prayed lavish blessings on Rivers State brethren

—– BCS Media Team

“If you have a relation who devotes himself in the service of God, whether he is your son, or brother, or cousin, do not despise him simply because he is your relation. Be kind and benevolent to him because you will receive the greater benefit.” – the above reference formed the theme yesterday during the 2020 Rivers State annual CNTM appreciation.

The sermon dished out to the Rivers State brethren centred predominantly on giving and looking out for those who have dedicated their time and resources to serving the Holy Father in His vineyard.

The event held at Rumuokwurusi Pentecostal Centre, had in attendance Bishop of Port Harcourt Region, Bishop Alex Igwe, CoG Nnamso Etukudo and brethren drawn from all areas of the state.

The Holy Father in Apostle Epelle who conducted the first part which was the divine service admonished brethren on the benefits that are accrued them when they willingly care and carter for the welfare of God’s workers.

The following texts constituted the day’s sermon; 1st lesson Matt 6:19-21, 2nd lesson Mark 12: 41-44, Golden Text Acts 20:25. Also, references were made from the following portions, Mal 3:7-12, Mark 9: 41, Matt 19:24-25, Matt 19:16-23, 1st Kings 17:8-24, Matt 10:40-42, Prov. 17:5, Eccl 5:4-6, Rom 11:34.

The Holy Father through Apostle Epelle spoke highly on the reward gained when the workers in God’s vineyard are well taken care of, emphasizing that every act of kindness done to the workers was a direct deposit on Him, the Holy Father.

Highlight of the epoch-making event was song rendition from the River State Central Choir, spiritual choruses rendition, gift presentation from areas, fellowships among others.

Also, the Chairman on the occasion during the second part, Apostle Epelle who doubles as the State Leader’s Representative expressed gratitude to the Rivers State brethren for the show of love, magnanimity and kindness displayed at the event. He hinted that none of the gesture displayed will go unrewarded.

The Rivers State L/R eulogized the Bishop in charge of Port Harcourt Region for initiating the programme which according to him, has helped foster a sense of belonging and commitment to God’s work by the CNTM.

On his part, the Bishop of Port Harcourt Region, Bishop Alex Igwe in his speech thanked the Rivers State brethren for their cooperation, support and encouragement towards the CNTM in the state. He reiterated that the decision to appreciate the CNTM was birth out of love and to show practicality of the Holy Father teachings on motivating the servants of God.

Responding on behalf of the workers, the state CNTM Chairman, Senior Christ Servant Prince Uche Ihenacho thanked the Holy Father for the success of the day, the harmonious relationship that exist between workers in the state and members. He reaffirmed that ”no worker in Rivers State can complain of ill-treatment in their stations”.

While describing the Regional Bishop as a pillar of strength and support, he prayed the Holy Father to continuously lavish blessings on Bishop Igwe who is the progenitor of the programme and also, the entire members of Rivers State for queuing behind him and supporting the workers heartily.

The Holy Father in CoG Nnamso Etukudo who officiated the Father’s advice and blessing made reference from Romans 10:13-15. CoG Etukudo advised the brethren not to be wavering in their faith in the Holy Father but to hold firm to their conviction and belief in Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.
